This week has bought many new faces through our doors and we couldn't be happier to see them all. The Barcelona Fringe Festival isn't over just yet but it has been an incredible week for our humble little theatre. We have been overwhelmed by all the lovely comments & feedback from audience members who had never been to The BCN Studio before and we look forward to welcoming them back anytime. We were honoured to be visited by Cecilia, the Cultural Matron of Poble Sec, she knighted Annie and Angela with Poble Sec flag badges & gave us all her stamp of approval.
Saturday saw the first of three performances of Fickle Eulogy by Nikol Kollars. A truly moving theatre piece that was somehow both funny & heart-breaking at the same time. The emotional rollercoaster left the audience in awe of Nikol's storytelling abilities as she opened up about a tragic moment in her life. If you missed it, fear not! Fickle Eulogy returns this weekend (November 9th & 10th) at 8pm. Tickets available hereÂ
Tuesday bought comedic super star Ignacio Lopez to our stage as part of his international tour for his new show Señor Self Destruct. His experience of life in Wales & Spain was the perfect material for an hilarious stand up comedy show, which resonated with our expat audience. Follow him on Instagram here
Wednesday night is always improv night at The BCN Studio & this week we had an epic one! Our house team Watch This Space joined forces with TBC Improv for a 9 person strong, short form comedy show. Following the show, TBC's Lauren Berning hosted an incredible jam that saw 30 people playing improv games & having lots of fun! We'll be welcoming TBC Improv back to our stage on November 23rd for a student showcase - Tickets available here
As if all that wasn't enough, Thursday night's entertainment came in the form of an improvised musical by What Was That? - A Musical!? Brielle, Michael & Brett delivered a brilliant improvised musical, creating it live in front of a wonderful audience. Brielle surprised us with her tap dancing, Michael turned the audience into a choir & Brett became an evil book! Follow them on Instagram here
