Based on the playwright’s true life experiences, this play is both deeply personal and political — a tribute to Olga, to Ukrainian resilience, to motherhood, to ordinary people surviving war. The absurd or surreal parts amplify the emotional truth rather than distract from it. It weaves together the everyday: domestic life in wartime, mother‑daughter intimacy, memories of the past, coming to terms with the loss of loved ones, humor, pain, and fantasy.

This staged reading of the play will be performed by Trap Door International. They will also perform a staged reading of another Sasha Denisova play in November at The BCN Studio.
