Community DIY Day

Community spaces need a little refresh from time-to-time. Drop in when you like on August 22nd between 11 AM and 1:30PM PM to help with a bit of painting, a bit of this, a bit of that. Then your legacy will be established in that speck of blue or red you so lovingly daub upon a stool or that tiny weird mural you decided to add to our back office. Hooray!

RSVP here, please, so we have an idea of how many paintbrushes and how much food to provide!

11:00-1:30pm we'll tinker, paint, drill

Drop in anytime but at 11am we will do a morning circle to plot the course of the day with the souls who are here then.

Then at 1:30pm we'll share lunch, to say thank you to you.

If you have random leftover ingredients in your fridge, please bring them. Angela can make a meal from pretty much anything, so just hand them over and they shall become a happy lunch (mixed with other ingredients we'll have here!). If you can only make it for lunchtime, just come anyway.  

Here are some items we're looking for on the streets:

If you have any of these items or see them in the street in the coming days, please bring them on Friday :D

• Mirrors of all sizes

• A tall floor lamp

• A couple small end tables, nothing too bulky. Tiny, light.

• Plastic plants (I know, I know. Sorry. We are your grandma.)

• Toy snakes or something else that can be wrapped around the cables draped across walls in our office to make them more fun.

Jobs that need doing:

• Painting stools and tables so they are less ugly

• Painting bamboo or grass onto the lower part of the walls in the office

• Installing plasterboard on ceiling in green room as Mike's right-hand person

• Painting the green room....green

• Decoupaging art onto the office wall

• Installing mirrors or other wall hangings in the office

• Plus other stuff we make up together
