2050: A Manifesto is a comic exploration of ego, technological dependence, and the illusion of control, set in a dystopian near future with a completely different societal structure.
AJ has attempted to make sense of the past fifty years of political and societal development. Armed only with a self-authored manifesto that he believes will save humanity, he sets out to explain to the audience its brilliance. But it’s not long before cracks begin to appear. What once seemed perfect becomes contradictory, fragile, and absolutely unhinged.
Part clown, part prophet, AJ is blinded by his own ambition. As his ideas unravel, he turns to the audience to help rebuild them in real time. Through structured interaction and moments of open “democracy” and “discussion”, the performance becomes a live…
