In this stand-up, storytelling hour, New York City native Belinda Filippelli brings serious Big Apple flavor to the stage and manages to be a near-impossible balance of hilarious, kind and badass all simultaneously. She has a serious knack for turning hardship into humor, and her comedy weaves seamlessly through topics ranging from teenage pregnancy and dog ownership to rejecting Cougarhood.

She's here at the holidays to help you laugh in the face of those who would call you a cunt for holding firm to your beliefs and following your heart. Ha!

Belinda says...

When I first shared my show poster, my uncle said, "Vagina is much more palatable than cunt." I replied, "Uncle Frankie, I love you, but would you be surprised to know the show wasn’t written to appeal to straight old white men’s sensibilities? So thanks for the feedback, but the cunt stays!"

Besides the obvious double entendres, it wouldn’t work because people don’t go around demeaning women in power by calling them vaginas. Besides, this isn't a show about my heart, mind and vagina. It’s about how the way I think and following my heart made me a cunt by society's standards, and I’m okay with that. In fact, I want to encourage more cunts in the world! This is a feminist battle cry!
