'Irse' is a performance piece of visual poetry, movement and sound that explores the different dynamics that arise when the human body is separated (or not) from a situation, a place, objects and memories. In the work, a woman encounters fragments and versions of herself while going through boxes in a basement. Memories, friendships, treasures and windows to other places in the world merge in a space that becomes all spaces.

This is a devised piece in mixed languages (Spanish and English) that tells a familiar story: The story of a traveler.

How do we face the sweet sorrow of farewell?

Is it possible to untangle the memories of lost objects, people?

What does it take to leave and enjoy the flight?

Irse was first premiered in 2021 and since then has been transformed into something new, just as us migrants do.

This open rehearsal is a preview of what Teatro del Sótano will show in THE F.E.S.T festival in Skillinge, Sweden.
