A rollercoaster of emotions with twists and turns and bursts of comedy are woven into this true story monodrama about losing a mother to Covid-19 during the pandemic. Fickle Eulogy is the journey of Ann (Nikol Kollars) as she copes with the death of her 66 year old mother while preparing a eulogy, sifting through memories, regrets, blame and what-ifs, believing her mother’s death was preventable. Through the shifting stages of grief, Ann goes to great lengths to procrastinate, embodying multiple characters all the while seeking advice from an AI device.

“A tour de force that left not one dry eye in the house and not one person without some rib-splitting laughter to boot.” Club with Lucas, Radio Catalunya Culture and Sport

“Nothing short of mind-blowing. The brilliant unexpected twists in the storyline make Fickle Eulogy a truly surprising experience. Kollars‘s performance cannot be overstated enough in this dynamic, funny and life-affecting play.“ Sophie Berry, Palooza Events

“Kollars lays it bare, invites us in and shares her most intimate thoughts. This one woman show is earnest, honest and perfectly timed, with well-placed humor. The ending released a cathartic cry that I had unwittingly held in.” -Anne-Cécile Ville

“Nikol Kollars’ inventive and quite brilliant play was the highlight of my Edinburgh Festival. Her versatility and creativity conveyed such a strong narrative. An emotional journey” - Paola Farino
