This dance performance invites the audience to explore the personal and artistic evolution of a woman on her journey towards self-acceptance and the affirmation of her worth. Through a retrospective lens, the piece tells the story of her struggle against imposed expectations, the satisfaction of challenging boundaries, and the importance of recognizing that, in our imperfection, we are enough. With every movement, the artist not only confronts her own growth but also reclaims her space, seeking to be seen and heard with her unique voice in the world of dance. An intimate, powerful, and emotionally charged journey that celebrates the strength, vulnerability, and authenticity of the female artist.

Written and produced by our artistic collective Teatro del Sótano, The Clock Struck 13 is playing at The BCN Studio every Sunday in March.

In this original play, a theatre company is preparing a production of ‘A Doll's House' by Henrik Ibsen. While rehearsing the last scene, the director notices a detail: the play does not end with Nora's legendary door slam but with the image of her husband, Torvald Helmer, who after a moment of defeat, looks up with a glimmer of hope, and repeats the phrase spoken earlier by his wife, 'the greatest of miracles’. Can an abyss be a bridge? What is the greatest of miracles?

This becomes the starting point for exploring how the feminine and the masculine have become distorted and how they can be reconciled.
