A night of jokes, vulnerable story telling and crowdwork, interacting with the audience from an unfiltered and uncensored unsafe space. Comedian and therapist Yoky Yu brings her new show, East Infection, to Barcelona, before touring it elsewhere. It’s a mix of standup comedy, a few games with the audience, and a lot of bullshit and nonsense. By day Yoky is a professional psychosomatic therapist, and by night she unleashes her inner demons, howls to the moon, and turns into a total piece of shit but with a lot of love.

There is no punching up or down for her as the east infection will come and get everyone. Not clean, not safe, not left and not right, but all coming from the right place of heart! Geopolitical darkness + shameless personal stories about sex and relationships coming from a queer immigrant = chaos and nonsense and laughs.

Yoky is based in Barcelona. Having grown up in China and lived in the United States, Yoky dedicates 100% of her time complaining about Europe.
